Friends Spring Fayre Raises over £2,000!

Despite the early morning grey skies, the sun broke through to welcome the hundreds of people who attended the Plant Sale and Spring Fayre held at the Home on Sunday 6 May. The marquee housing a wide range of bedding plants, annuals and perennials such as geraniums, petunias, asters, cosmos, tomato plants and herbs, to name but a few, was soon packed with gardening enthusiasts and in no time at all the tables stacked with trays of plants emptied. The hanging baskets also proved very popular, as did the gardening accessories table with its assortment of planters, pots and garden ornaments.

Visitors to the Spring Fayre were able to browse a wide variety of stalls selling items such as bric-a-brac, costume jewellery, books, games and toiletries. After perusing the enticing goods on offer, there was also the chance to win a prize on the lucky dip, tombola and raffle.

We were delighted to have author Janeta Hevizi present signing copies of her best selling book “Shanti The Wandering Dog”, a beautifully illustrated children’s book, set in Far West Cornwall.
