Volunteering
We are always looking for volunteers to help with our fundraising events – just a few hours of your time will be of great benefit to us and you will have the satisfaction of playing a valuable role in helping to improve the lives of animals in need.
Listed below are the various ways you can help so please do join us – you’ll be working with other volunteers with a similar interest in animal welfare so it is also a way of meeting a new circle of friends!
- Monthly Refreshments Table (lst and 3rd Sunday of the month)
Help needed to set up & clear the tables and serve refreshments. If you can spare a couple of hours between 10am – 3pm, please do get in touch! Donations of home-made cakes, fruit tartlets and savouries are always very welcome. - Street collections
We hold a number of collections during the year in Bath and the surrounding areas and always need volunteers who are prepared to help for an hour or so – especially if you have a child-friendly dog! As there are no overheads involved, the collections are a great way to raise funds but we need more volunteers to maximize this opportunity. - Sorting donated goods
We need volunteers to sort donated goods for our events during the year – Spring Fayre, Plants Sale, Open Day, Clothes Sale and Xmas Fayre. - Helping at events
We need volunteers to help set up/dismantle and man the stalls at our annual events listed above - Plant Sale
If you have a greenhouse, cold frame or sunny window cill – would you be willing to grow on some seeds and plants for our Plant Sale next Spring? The plants would be provided and we would arrange delivery and collection. Perennials proved extremely popular at our last Plant Sale so if any gardener is dividing their clumps of plants in the Autumn, or has any seedlings or cuttings, could you pot some up for our Sale?
